How much do you pay your babysitter?

I have kind of an unconventional babysitter requirement. My husband works overnights so he sleeps from 1pm-9pm. I work Wed and Fri from 4p-8pm. Most days he aranges his sleep schedule so he can watch Maddy and put her to bed, but sometimes he gets stuck at work, or has to go in early . I've been rearranging my work schedule and they have been great, but we really need a babysitter. We have no family around at all.
So , how much do you pay yours? How old is she(hs, college student)? And I know my parents wouldn't be happy with the father in the house sleeping while I watched the baby- do you think thats too weird? TIA

I pay my weekend sitter $10 and hour. She is my 14 year old niece. I have also had a College aged girl sit and I gave her $12 an hour. Good sitters are hard to find.

It may be a little weird for the girl initially that your DH is home. But after awahile it will be like he isn't there since they should hang out downstairs.

I use my 15 year old next door neighbor and pay her $8.

I pay a colleg girl $12.00 an hour, she works at my daughter's pre school.
