Puppy....I don't know Joe bought him before we started dating
Now at 2yrs old 115lbsChat Icon

He is a bit of a chubberChat Icon I can't help it I spoil him and he loves grapes, cheese, pinapple, and crackers. Joe is always yelling at me about his weight, but whatever i'm the push-over and I love him to much to say no!!! I'll put pics in my album this coming week!!

just to let you know
grapes are DEADLY for dogsChat Icon

I was going to say the same.........the cheese isn't good for dogs either..........love him with healthy food!! He'll be around longer to love thenChat Icon

Link to healthy dog snacks!!!

Thank you for the article! I understand what you are all saying, but Gus has a VERY bad stomach and these are the only treats he will eat and not get sick from! My brother didn't believe me at Holloween and gave him 1 yes 1 candycorn and he was sick for 3 days! B-B-Q ANYTHING.............he was rushed to pet er because I thought he was dying! It was horrible and I had an even worse mess at home! I will switch to apples and pears and cut down on the chesse and grapes, but he does fine and LOVES them. I can't say no but maybe it should be more of a every other month you get 2 grapes and a piece of cheese thing! Cheese is more of a treat for after his ear infection meds anyway. He's so cute he sits very anxious gets the drops and then runs to the fridge for his little piece of chesse Chat Icon

Thanks again fo rall of your concer and i'll post pics in my album soon of my lil Gustopher

Cookie the cat is about 15lbs

Pepper I got when she was undr 1 LB. She was a drop off, and it was wayyy to early for her to be taken from her momma, but she was left in a box at my store, and I did the best I could with her. She is about 8 lbs now.

Barney I got when he was 18lbs, he gained 5lbs a week as a pup, and is now 103 lbs of mushballChat Icon

Re: How much does your pet weigh

got him at about 11 months and he weighed 17.5 or 18lbs (????).

now anywhere from 18.5-19.5. Ideal is 18.5 for him. His breed is prone to back problems and we watch his weight.

Oh, before you think he is HUGE for a dachshund, I should say he is a standard, not a mini. He is on the small side for a standard.

Re: How much does your pet weigh

When we adopted Max at 9 years old he was only 69lbs and malnourished. He's weighed as much as 82lbs but now that he's getting old & frail he's wasting away Chat Icon and is about 63lbs ... he hasn't bounced back from a weight gaining perspective since he had pneumonia around Easter.

Bailey is getting tubby again but I think it's because we are trying to fatten up Max so Bailey gets an extra handful of food here & there so he's not jealous! DH got him as a puppy so he was a little thing - the runt of the litter supposedly. But he was over 100lbs by the time he was 2!! He was on a frozen string bean diet for years (half dry food, half frozen string beans) and he really trimmed down to the mid 80's but I'd guess he's in the low 90's now.

Hershey was always about 26lbs ...
