How much food is your 7 month eating?

I am giving them 1 stage 2 food each for every meal. I am not sure if this is enough since sometimes they are looking for more. Can you please tell me how much you dc eats...

Thank you

Honestly it varies..

Caden doesnt eat babyfood any more..he gave that up about a month ago..

So he gets more bang for his buck with the foods I give b/c babyfood is a lot of water..but I'll tell you what he eats..

Please keep in mind that Caden is on the large side at 23lbs.

In addition to about 30oz of formula per day and puffs he gets...

6oz of yogurt
2 slices of cheese
1 slice of bread
The equivalent of 1 piece of fruit
1/2 cup of vegetables
The equivalent of a deck of cards of tofu.

Of course the menu varies...bread might be replaced with pasta and he might have 2 pieces of fruit instead of the veggies or vice versa. In general he gets tofu for his protein b/c its easy to chew but he will get chicken from time to time or chopmeat if Im making something for the rest of the family.

Re: How much food is your 7 month eating?

How did you know he could start having cheese and bread. I am so confused on what they can and cant eat. I thought since cheese was milk related they couldnt have it until they were a year. What kind of bread do you give him?

Any new foods idea are great. I feel like these kids are always eating the same thing. I give them fresh veg to chew on but other than that I am clueless..

For breakfast and dinner he gets a stage 2 jar and 3 tbsp of cereal. For lunch he gets yogurt or one stafe 2 fruit and one stage 2 vegetable.
He gets 4 6.5-7 oz bottles.

Re: How much food is your 7 month eating?

We started DS late on cereal so he is not starting food until next week. Right now his schedule looks like this:

6:00 am - BF
8:30 - 2-3 tbsp oatmeal cereal
10:00 - 7.5 oz bottle
1:30 - 7.5 oz bottle
5:30 - BF
6:30 pm - 2-3 tbsp oatmeal cereal
8 or 8:30 - BF or bottle

We will start sweet potatoes next week when we get back from Florida.

My dr said to wait on the yogurt because they are on the alimentium (sp)and it cause them some stomach pains...

I am just so confused on the other foods. I am reading that some people are giving them eggs, cheese, waffles, panacakes etc....

No problem with the hijack at least I know I am not alone.

at 6 months check up our ped told us dd could start eating little bit of egg yolk but no egg whites, I didn't try yet, too afraid, b/c my MIL is allergic to eggs.
