how much is everyone propane $
they just delivered and i have a 700$ bill is this right ? 190 gals its $3.599/gal

Home advisor estimates $500 per 100 gallons. We have natural gas and our bill for November was $180. We put in a new furnace in June. Last year at this time the bill was $250.

this is so crazy. i am literally losing my mind rightnow. I cannotbelieve propane is so much. oh and i just looked at my bill from last nov and it is 2.549/gal

Propane is one of the more expensive ways to heat a home. Is there a possibility to hook your home up to the grid? It would be a large hookup fee, but lower monthly fees. It would depend upon how long you plan on staying in your home. We have been in our home for seven years now, and the furnace was 27 years old. We put in a new HVAC and hot water heater. It cost us $13,000. When we bought the house we knew we would eventually need to replace these things, so it was something we saved for in our rainy day fund. From when we installed it until last month we had no electric or heat bill, only credits. It was that much more efficient than our old system. So it has been saving us tons of money. If I had to guess, we have saved $1000 so far.

yes too expensive. at the old house we had oil but i dont think it would be worth the conversion. Im gonna look into selling this gas stove and the gas dryer. It should be easy because they are brand new.
We dont have the gas line on our street so i cant. i wished they would bring it down already. ughhh

Can you get a wood burning stove insert? We have natural gas but it’s helped a lot with our heating bills as our main area is difficult to heat.

Propane is usually priced based on how many gallons you get and there are large differences if you get more gallons. Your price makes some sense based on your delivery size, although I am not entirely sure what the lowest propane numbers really are.
I get my propane from Petro and I pay $4.99 a gallon. But I only get 40-50 gallons a year since I only have propane for cooking and clothes dryer. They would not budge on lowering the price anymore.
I have oil heat with Petro which is half the price.
