How much is too much to spend on a bra?
So I went to Victoria's Secret this week to buy a bra for under a BM dress I am wearing this weekend. I wound up spending $50 on one bra, and there were some there over $60 or 70! I really do find their brands most comfortable, but this is getting insane. How much is too much to spend on a bra? I then went to Marshall's and bought some for $10, but they were itchy or the bones hurt.

VS doesn't make big enough ones for me, so I sually go to MACy's & pay around $35-$40 for regular everyday underwire minimizers.
I wouldn't spend more than $50 , unless it was something specific I relaly needed ( Liek a busiter for my wedding gown)

OK, I'll admit, I was getting a maximizer! Maybe I am paying extra for all that padding.

I typically spend around $30 each.
I will sometimes buy cute cheap ones for like $15 at say Target but they never last long.
I would rather spend $30 -$35 and have it last.
NEVER would I spend like $60 or $70!
Although it is something you wear often, so I guess you get a good use out of it for the money, but Ive been trained not to spend that much(thanks Mom)

I spend $30 on mine at Georgette's in Hicksville (only place I can find my size  ).

That's so fuuny. I was thinking the same thing. I just went to VS over the weekend and bought their convertible very sexy bra(major padding) to go under a halter dress I am wearing next weekend for an affair. The bra cost almost as much as the dress!

sort of related....today Oprah is all about bra and bathing suit fitting. I'll be watching! I don't think my bras ever fit me right and I've tried all kinds!

I usually spend about $50....sometimes less, sometimes more.
I wouldn't put a price tag on comfort, I don't see anything wrong with spending a large amount on a bra, particularly if it's made well, or designed to be worn under a specific dress. In my experience, VS doesn't make the best bras around, they don't seem to hold up too well. Try Great Shapes in Woodbury Commons (they also sell great bathing suits).

For a VERY special occasion bra (like for under my wedding gown) I would pay up to $100. For everyday wear and regular occassions - around $30...

I usually wear Wacoal bras- those are around $50.00 each, but sometimes I find them at filenes.
I personally don't like VS bras.
I also have a few chantilly bras that were $80.00 each (thought that was WAY too much)

I spend around $60-$70 per bra, but for VERY good ones that I that fit me properly. I wouldn't spend more than 2 cents on a VS bra- they're c r a p.

I get alot of my bras at Kohls. They have name brand ones like Maidenform and they are always on sale, just like everything else in that store! Since I am not really "gifted" in that department, they always have my size.

There's one from Victoria's Secret that I always buy - it runs like $34...
It's a little expensive, but after I bought my first one, it was the only one I wore, so the other's just sat there. So I bought a few more. My only complaint is that they only get a few of the fun patterns/colors in my size

VS does nothing for me....
I head into macy's or kohl's, or sometimes even tj maxx or marshalls. I wash before I wear anyway, so I really don't care where they come from.
I also pick up a bunch every year at the outlets.
eta: so anywhere from $7.99 to $30

Same here and they always have sales. I usually spend between $15-20 on 1.

Those are the bra's I get as well. They are my everyday bra's and I usually get them for about $56. I think they are worth every penny though. I am on the larger breasted size and these help me out tremendously.

I usually try and buy my bras when they are having those great offers from the bra companies like buy two get one by mail and things like that.
