I think we gave $75/$100 (can't remember) we were the only ones in our group that gave anything.

A lot, but we belong to a "poor" parish (in Coney Island) and thought that if we had the $ to spend on a party, the church had to get the equivalent. No church=no baptism.

Our paperwork actuall says usual donation is $30...We'll probably give $100-$150.

My church suggested 25, which we though was crazy but thats what they said. The godfather paid it and I think he gave 50.

We had a private Christening and gave the Church $100 and the Deacon who perfomed a "donation" of $50 in a Thank you card.

I feel cheap...they suggested $50 and that's what I gave. Plus my grandfather who is the deacon at the church told me to give that much, now I feel bad
