How much per month do you spend on groceries?

I was curious about our spending habits so I took a closer look at what we're spending. Everything looked fine, except we spend anywhere from $400-$500 a month at the grocery store, AND another $200 per month at Costco (that includes baby wipes and diapers though). This seems like a lot to me, but I have no idea.

And if it IS a lot, any suggestions on how to save money on groceries?

We spend about 400.00 a month on groceries too and I think it is outrageous. I know I need to start cutting coupons and shopping sales but I just can not get my act together.

I can not imagine what i will spend when we have more kids and everyone is older and eating more.

We spend close to 600 a month. That's not including any diapers or wipes. I have been buying only organic products, but the more research do, the more I've found out that it's not worthwhile to buy all organic. Grain products are not worth it and we spend a lot of money on that, so hopefully we can cut back

I spend a minimum of $500 a month at Stop&Shop and another $300 at Costco/BJ's.

I don't coupon clip, but i do stock up on stuff when its on sale.

$300 a month for 2 people and that includes the cat

I clip coupons, buy what's on sale with my card and compare sales on line before I go- and even get some stuff at target

I try to get the most for my money

DH and I spend about $400 per month at the grocery store. I clip coupons and I shop sales too.

About 400 a month, this does not include diapers and wipes though.

About $400 a month for 2 of us. I clip coupons non-stop & usually only buy sale items. There are certain things that DH likes that I can't cut out or cut down in price.

We usually visit BJ's once a month & spend about $100.

About $300-400 a month...it's just the 2 of us and one very well-fed cat.

I cannot figure out the grocery shopping thig! I feel like we spend too much, but i don't buy much and i usually am a sale shopper.

Then I feel like we never have food.

maybe we just eat too much.

But i feel like buying meat adds up so quickly!

it's just me and DH...no babies yet...and we spend about $40/week at the supermarket and about $20/week at Target (buying crap we dont need).

About $300 a month for 2 people. We don't eat out much, maybe once a week for dinner. I usually go to Target or Walmart every other month and spend $50-100 on health and beauty things that I couldn't find onsale at S&S.

I clip coupons and buy in bulk at the supermarket when things we use every week go on sale. I'm sure I could do better if I checked the sales each week at all the local supermarkets but I don't have the time.

We spend about 600 a month for 2 of us. And we go to BJ's once a month and spend about 200 a month there.

I spend between 50 and 100 per week which averages about $300/month.

I will only buy what 's on sale usually, and I have recently begun to shop at Western Beef in Mineola (awesome!)

The city is crazy with prices...for one person probably about $300!!

When all is said and done...about 1K a month on food!!!

just for groceries I would say between $300-$350 a month.

then there are frequent trip to Target/Drug stores which probably add up to another $100-$150 a month

About the same as you. Close to $500 a month on food and $200-$300 per month at Costco (and that includes diapers and wipes and such).
