How much pumped breastmilk is your 6-7 month old drinking?
DD is 6 months. Has been having (5) 7 ounce bottles a day...so having about 35 ounces or a little less a day.
Now that we're really starting with fruits/veggies/cereal, I think she wants to dip down in BM...which is fine I know, but wanted to know how much your kiddos are eating now.
I'd love to drop to 4 bottles a day, even if we up it to 7-8 ounces per bottle...b/c there's just not enough time in the day to do 3 meals, 5 bottles, naps, etc.
What are you all doing? Our ped appt is Friday so I'll definitely ask then, but just curious.
She is given only breastmilk (pumped).

Re: How much pumped breastmilk is your 6-7 month old drinking?
I *just* got DS down to drinking milk 5 times a day. He nurses in the morning, has 2 x 8 oz bottles of breastmilk at daycare and then is nursed twice in the evening. He is still eating/nursing every three hours.
We didn't start solids too long ago and although the ped said he didn't need 3 meals until around 8 months, I just started adding it because I am not feeding him overnight anymore when he wakes (he used to nurse 1-2 times a night in addition to above).
Do you make her meals with breastmilk? I have no idea how much he gets when nursing so I like to add a couple of ounces to his meal so he gets it in that way. Also, he was taking 7 oz a day and I upped it to 8 since he has been eating more solids.

I ep'd for a year and started DS on solids around 6 months. He was taking four 8-9 oz bottles a day, but once he started oatmeal and fruit, he decreased to four 6 ounce bottles. Around 8-9 months he dropped down to 3 bottles. Like you said, there just wasn't enough time in the day for meals, bottles and naps.

Thanks ladies. Yes, I've been using BM for her cereal, etc. so that does help. And though she's averaging 3 meals a day, she's getting 2 jars and 2 small servings of cereal total...she wants even more but I'm trying to go slowly.
Thanks for replying!
