how much should i be feeding my dog?
we give the dogs wellness lamb and rice, diet kind because two of our dogs are overweight (sophie can't go for long walks because of her slipped disc and owen has addison's disease)... but not sure how much to give the new dog?
he's 44 pounds and we're looking for him to maintain, not gain, weight.
suggestions?

When I asked my vet how much to feed the dog, he said to use the feeding charts on the bag, but the low end of the range becuase dog food companies are companies and want to make money by selling more food.

Porter is 80lbs. DH thinks he should be fed 2 cups in the morning and 2 at night. I only give him 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup at night. We want to maintain his weight b/c I am worried about hip problems. His weight is right where it should be.

My dog is only 6lbs and we feed her once at dinner time, about a cup of Nutro Max.
When we had my sheperd we feed her twice a day. about 2 cups in the morning and then a cup w/ some chicken at night.
