How much solid food does your 5 month old eat in a day?
I started DS on cereal at 4 months and he hated it, so I stopped giving it to him. DS is now 5 months and I just started him on solids again. I started him on pears which he loved. Today I started giving him Sweet Potatoes. I gave him half a jar, and he wanted more. He was opening his mouth waiting so I gave him the rest of the jar. I figured if he was full, he would turn his head or keep his mouth closed. Is a whole jar too much for a 5 month old?

At 5 months DD was up to 2 Jars a day plus 2 bowls of cereal. If he is hungry, feed him

DD is almost 5 months old. She takes 2 tablespoons of cereal in the morning and just started stage 1 foods. I started with veggies. I gave her the whole jar and she ate it.

Okay, so I guess a whole jar is not too much. I'm only planning on giving him one jar a day for now. I want to go through a few different foods first. I figured once I do that, I can start giving him some vegatables/fruit mixed into the cereal in the morning and then a fruit/vegtable in the evening.
