When I am with him probably about 3 hrs on and off. He plays while it is on in the background.

Re: How much TV does your DC watch everyday?

Maybe 30 min-1 hour in the evenings. By the time we get home from work there's barely anytime for him to watch TV after we do our nightly routine.

On the weekends, I'll turn on the TV bc he wakes up so early and I'm not ready to get out of bed. He'll watch noggin for 1 hour or so.

A few hours, but they really are educational shows.

Even MickeyMouse Clubhouse is educational. We sit with them, and interact with them and the shows, so I don't feel guilty about them watching it.

DD loves to dance to any kind of music, so she "watches" a bunch of shows, and dances all the time... Chat Icon

Re: How much TV does your DC watch everyday?

I have the TV on alot, but it's mostly just in the background while DD plays. She usually watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right after breakfast while she eats cheerios. That's when I eat my breakfast.

I'll admit it, with the new baby he has been watching more than usual in the am- about two hours. I said to my friend the other day, I know he is watching too much when he is 20 months old and now naming all the characters on all the disney shows. THe other day it was Handy Manny "manny, kelly, Mr. Lopar, tools"Chat Icon

DS watches Sesame Street from 9-10AM.

I have the tv on a lot for background noise, but, he is usually playing and not paying attention to the TV (except for ELMO..LOL).

Re: How much TV does your DC watch everyday?

I'll admit it, I have the tv on all day. However that doesn't mean he watches it all day. Usually in the am 1-2hrs while I'm getting my older son ready for school, getting myself ready, and the baby dressed, and making breakfast. Then again in the afternoon for about 1hr (that's his nap time and that is the only way he will fall a sleep if we're home) and then again before bed. But we do a lot together we usually go to the park for 2hrs a day 3x a wk, we play outside for awhile, we sometimes go for walks, play with his puzzles, read books, and plays with is cars witch are his favorite but I like the tv as a background noise I guess. I know I'm a bad mommy Chat Icon

I will turn it on when he has his first bottle of the morning. First its the weather channel and then I will turn to a kid channel. It only lasts about 15 minutes and its not really every day.

Your not a bad mommy!! As long as they are watching quality shows, I don't think it is bad to watch a few hours a day.

Never during the week.
During the weekend she sometimes watches an episode of Dora or Sesame Street.

If we're home all day probably more than she should. Maybe 3 hours or so but she doesn't just sit and watch it. She's always doing something else and will watch on and off. We're not usually home all day that often though. She does watch Dragontales just about every morning and she loves the new show Super Why.

None. She just has no interest in TV, and we rarely play it anyway.

Re: How much TV does your DC watch everyday?

Unfortunately, my DH and I are TV junkies. We have the TV on all the time. I want to say that we use it mostly for background noise but then I question why we just don't put the radio on. I think it's just our bad habit. DD watches it here and there but it's on most of the time.

Zero. They are 5 months.

I think they have seen a grand total of an hour of tv since their birth. JMO, but I don't let them view it at this age. Can't see what they'd get out of it.

My youngest at 16 months doesn't watch any. She has no interest.

My DS is 3 and he is in preschool now, so 3 days a week he doesn't watch any. The other days, he watches maybe an hour or two in the morning while I get ready for the day and take care of his sister.

None. She loves baseball, though, so when she stays overnight with my parents she'll watch a game with my dad. I am trying to avoid tv for as long as possible.
