How much weight did you gain by 19 weeks?

I got on the scale this morning and I have gained 18 pounds I am so upset about it. I know that I am not eating the healthiest b/c veggies don't appeal to me and fruit gives me acid reflux. I didn't think I was eating a lot though. I need to try and start eating better I guess or I will be a house before this baby is born.

i'm not sure what you should weigh at 19 weeks but the doctor told me i gained a total 10 pounds when i was 21 weeks.

i tired to eat alot of veggies and some fruits. i noticed i hardly eat pasta cuz it gives me heartburns.

don't worry...my DH said a fat baby is a healthy baby (not sure how true that is, tho)

I think I was probably about 15 lbs by 20 weeks.
And I didnt gain anything until 11 or 12 weeks so I gained a lot quickly.

I wouldnt worry too much unless your Dr says something. Mine was not concerned, everyone goes through a growth spurt at a different time.
It does even out there are weeks I don't gain anything and then another week I will gain 3-5 lbs. I have decided that I am putting the scale in the basement until I give birth!

at 19 weeks i had not gained any weight except for gaining back the 10 pounds i had lost in the first tri from morning sickness. between weeks 20-32 i gained mostly in spurts, and from week 33 on i am steadily packing on the pounds, about a pound a week if not more!

but i wouldn't place too much stock in other people's weight gain patterns. everyone gains at their own pace. your body is doing what it needs to do - if your doctor is worried he/she will let you know.

I will be 18 weeks tomorrow and have gained 13 lbs. Don't worry. Everyone gains weight differently

Thanks everyone. I go to the doctor next week so I will see what she says. I just dont know where this came from all of a sudden.

At my 18.5 week appt, I had gained 6lbs (but if feels like more!)

i am 25 weeks and have gained 7 pounds, werer u underweight to strat, i was about average to maybe 10 pounds overweight so im expected to gain less,,,

18 weeks tody and haven't gained an ounce.

I'm actually down over 10 pounds!!

You can't even tell that I'm having a baby.

At my 17 weeks appointment I gained 6lbs. I am sure at my 21 week appointment on friday it will be much more!!!!

I read that gaining a pound a week is average---so according to that you are doing just fine....I gained more than that and my dr. is not concerned at all.

At my 18 week appt I only gained 7 lbs. But I am heavy and I keep reading/hearing that you are supposed to gain less. I think if your dr didn't have an issue with it, then you shouldn't really worry about it.

I am 8 weeks and have a tiny belly already is that normal.. I really gained like 2 lbs.. but i seriously have a tiny baby bump.. and my cloths do not fit so well. I hope I dont get too over weight???

I am now 22 weeks and have gained about 21 pounds. I was not super thin but normal when I got pregnant, al ittle more than I probably would have liked to have been though. I read a bunch of old posts here on weight gain and felt like I was the only one gaining so much but I know there are others out there that also gain on average a pound a week. The way I look at it, is I'm on track to gain roughly 40 pounds, is it great, probably not, but doctor did say, 25-35 was normal so I don't feel like it is super crazy ourt of range. Plus, it may slow down, or so I've heard. I too have not been eating the healthiest as I have been sick nearly every day of this pregnancy and honestly eat what I feel like and what I can get down, whether its ice cream, mac and cheese, fruit or veggies. This was my docs advice!!!

You are doing fine and don't be alarmed by others who have not gained as much weight. I was at first but have talked to many others who are gaining at the same rate you are. Everyone is different...wish I was one of the lucky ones who only gained a small amount but oh well, I know Ill lose it afterwards. so enjoy!!
