For painting (I provided the paint) 2 medium / large size bedrooms and one regular sized bathroom?

Depends what needs to be done. Does it need to be repainted or is there a light color on the walls? So just painted over, primed? If it's just being painted over, I would say about $300 per room. Esp since you bought the materials.

My DH would prob charge around 200 a day. It would prob take him 2 days at most. But then again, this isnt his main job. He does painting on the weekends..

I think we usually pay around 500 a room (our rooms aren't big) and supply the paint ourselves, but that also includes trim & doors.

Ditto, we used a painter that was quick, so neat and charged by the day ($250) not by the room. I would say that would take him two days, maybe 2.5 but I woud think cost wise about $600 tops!

Well maybe not. Did they have to do repair work, like spackle and sand? Did they have to prime first before painting? Was there a lot of trim work involved? Was it one guy or did he have help? How many days was he/they there for?

If all that type of work needed to be done, minus materials, then I would have expected to pay between $1,800 and $2,000.
