Re: How much would you pay for this??

I love fun cakes but can't see spending more than 100 on a cake itself. I would pay 75-100 for this without blinking.

Pls post your pics when you do it.

Re: How much would you pay for this??

Definitely figure out all of your costs (the kit and any additional expenses)...then I'd do a base "labor" fee.

I made a similar version of this cake for my DS's Disney theme birthday...I don't know how much to charge, but I will say it is VERY time consuming Chat Icon , but adorable...Here is the one we did
( we took some shortcuts)....

Re: How much would you pay for this??

not having priced ANYTHING like this before (except a grooms' cake for our wedding) - i'd be willing to pay $150 easily for a cake with that much detail!

(again, keeping in mind - i have no point of reference)

Re: How much would you pay for this??

I would say $75.

It looks like the cake is actually a stacked, square cake with the plastic pieces to adorn it and some flowers, etc. It doesn't look too difficult-but I don't know much about what goes into it so if is was more labor intensive, I would say $100

I also agree. I think $75 is a bargain and $100 is reasonable.

Re: How much would you pay for this??

I am going to say 80-100. Add up how much you think it is going to cost for supplies. Include the cake. frosting, kit and anything that you will be needing. If it is things you can reuse (like tips don't include it). The hard part will be estimating your labor. Try to figure how long it will take. I know it takes me about 1.5 hours to put together and decorate my cakes. But this one looks detailed. Once you have your hours and supply costs you can give a good price. One of my friends just started doing cakes too. You have to be careful not to lose money on the project. Remember you are not doing this for free. Or at least I don't think you are.
