How Often are you washing Crib Sheets

ESPECIALLY if they're not touching the sheets!

Sheet savers, etc

AJ has such a hot head and sweats so much but she doesn't sleep on the crib sheets. She has her blanket that came with the set folded in four to create a 'pillow' if you will. She puts her head on that and likes to feel a blanket under her. so two blankets are layered below her and then the folded blanket as a pillow.

She also can NOT sleep without her 'love-ie' aka a towelie Chat Icon those super thin baby towels with hoodies are very useful as are the larger burp towels. She likes to rub her cheek with it. Used to freak me out when she was younger but now Ive grown used to it.

So I find I am rarely using all the sheets I own. I had bought some for daycare but in TX they provide that. So i have so many extras now. And I just dont wash the one she's using now. Chat Icon

am i bad?

I change it 1x per week, but I wash it with his laundry (we have a bunch too)

DS has a pillow and his head doesn't touch the sheet either, but the rest of his body does..and his feet....

hadn't thought of that. I've so far *cross fingers, knock on wood* had no leaks overnight!

She just crashes out in there. but I realized she doesnt touch a single piece of the sheet. I wash the blankets and 'pillow' etc. Anything she touches but not the sheet five layers down. hrm... Chat Icon

I usually change it at least once a week--they get dusty if nothing else. Often more with drooling, colds, the occassional pee through the diaper, etc.

i put once a week but its probably a little more than that. I change/wash it everytime i do her laundry... so its maybe every 5 days or so- depending on what came out of her and how often that week Chat Icon

Re: How Often are you washing Crib Sheets

I have 3 sheets. I change the sheet about 2-3 times a week. She sleeps directly on it and I do her laundry about 3 times a week anyway.

I change it so often b/c I often change her in there.

Re: How Often are you washing Crib Sheets

At least twice a week. I'm neurotic about her having clean sheets. I change it after every other bath, which equates to usually 2-3 times a week...more if she happens to leak through her diaper. Same with her changing pad cover, it gets changed when the sheet does.

I wash them with her laundry, which I also do about 2x/week.

ETA: When I change the sheet, I also wash the animal friends she has in her crib...I only let her take machine washable friends to bed with her Chat Icon

ETA #2: We use the Ultimate Crib sheets...so that's what I'm referring to. However, there is a fitted sheet on the mattress under the Ultimate Crib Sheet that she never ever touches...I only wash that maybe 1x/month.

Re: How Often are you washing Crib Sheets

Once a week, unless he's been drooling a lot, or his nighttime diaper leaked.

When we used the Ultimate Crib sheet, I changed those at least once a week. The sheet underneath, I think I changed about every 2 weeks, because he never touched it.
