How often do you buy new comforter/bedding sets?

I always see cute ones and feel the urge to keep switching them up often...but I have resisted.

Well, I look pretty obsessively- always- and see stuff I like, but seldom commit. At the moment, I have a spring/summer comforter and a fall/winter set (a plain solid duvet and print patchwork quilt that look nice together.)

And yet, I will go YEARS between actually buying.

I'm probably no help.

I've been thinking about getting a new one soon, and it's been... I want to say 4 years since we bought the last one.

I have 2 sets. A fall winter set and a spring summer set.

ETA I realized I didn't answer the question...both have been bought in the last 18 months because thats how long we've been in our house. I think everyone should buy a new one every 3-4 years.

I just love them so
I *try* to limit my purchases, and wait patiently for sales/coupons etc. but I really have a problem

Whenever I see one I love. So I have maybe 12 of them. I give my mom ones I dont rotate too often.

its been two years and i just got a new spring one. my kitten really destroyed both since she plays pounce on feet and dig in nails at night. So hopefully by spring she would of grown out of this.

We just bought a new winter & summer set last year - my old ones were 7 years old.

It was time for a change.

Mine coordinates with my roman shades. We have had it for about 3 years with no plans to change it any time soon.

I'm on my second duvet since I've been married (5 yrs) and this duvet works with the accessory pillows from my first set.

we have two new ones in the last year. my mom bought us a summer one, cause the one i had was very dark and she said it was perfect for fall winter, so she bought us a new one for spring summer, and i have to say it totally changes the mood

I have a fall/winter set and spring/summer set. It was 7 years before I bought a new one!

I have bought several sheet sets though!

Never- b/c I never see anything that I really like -

I found my current one on a total fluke and I've had it for 4 years .........b/c I love it

But I also take it off of the bed every night and never ever sleep w/ it - so it will probably last me 20 years

ETA: sheets and pillowcass are a different story though !

I dont buy an entire set. I probably buy 2 duvets a year if I can find ones I really love. Sheets I buy probably 3x a year.

maybe every 5 years or so, but i like to have 2 different ensembles or a mix & match situation so i don't get bored.

i love the set in my guest room- its from my wedding and 5 years old but i love it and its used maybe 2-3x a year.

i dont plan on changing it for a while.

in my bedroom weve had the same duvet for 3 years, its fabulous quality...but i couldnt resist the urge to update it i added new throw pillows and a matching quilt at the end of it...
it looks like i got a whole new set.

i do buy new sheets often. i love crisp sheets. im known to iron my flat sheet and pillowcases too. you will be amazed at how good they look when ironed.

I have mine for 3 years now and am still really happy with it. I bought a solid color down one from Company Store and I have yet to grow tired of it. I accessorize with throw pillows which is much better & pocketbook friendly (I made most of them myself so even cheaper and really easy)

When I had duvet covers (prints) & white insert I wanted to change all the time but I limited it to 2 that I switched between.

We have had ours for 3.5 years (since we got married and moved in together).

We have another one that we were given at our shower, but have never used and is a totally different color scheme than we have going now.

And someone just bought us a new 12 piece set for Christmas. Also a different color scheme, but at least it kinda goes with the room.

I've looked at new sets a lot and have wanted a new set, but didn't want to spend the money and don't have the storage space for it.

Before I moved in with DH, I would get a new set every year or so. I used to love changing up the look.

I have 2 duvet/sham sets. One is from our apt in NYC so its about 5 yrs old now, but I love it and its in great condition washes so well (from Fortunoff's ) I just bought a new set at Home Goods, loved it at first but not as much as the other one, DH really doesn't like it so that doesn't help.
