my car is a little different- it uses synthenic oil and needs one every 13K miles- but it costs more then 4 regular oil changes and it's part of maintance done at the dealership
since it's leased I don't feel the need to get an oil change until the light comes on

I go to the dealership to get the oil changes and everytime I go they program it so it tells me when it is time to go again. I think it is every 3k miles but I usually get to go around 4k.

DH deals with the car, so it gets done every 3,000 miles. Since I have a long commute, they get done pretty often. Luckily he is very good with that.
Before we met, I got them done, like, whenever.  Dealing with cars is not my thing.

I should have put "when I remember"...if my dad every heard me say that he would kill me though. I try to do it every 3,000. I used to be very good w/ that when I had older cars. Now w/ the newer one I slack off...bad, I know.

According to DH, not often enough. I'm always over when I get it done. He would have it done every 3 months even if the car wasn't driven at all.

I usually get it done every 3K miles, sometimes I let it go a little over.
My DH says that 3K is really not necessary (although nothing wrong with it!) but that you should definitely get it done at least every 5K miles.

i put synthetic in my car so i usually wait between 5-6k miles in between oil changes.
Its a lease so i don't really care, haha
