How often does your 14 month old nap?
My son's almost 14 months old and naps 2x/day. Lately it's been a real struggle sleeping through the night and was just wondering if maybe he's napping too much during the day. (Between the two naps, he prob. sleeps 3 hours during the day.) TIA!

My first DD took 2 naps at that age that added up to 3 hours total.
My second DD only took 1 nap at that age and it was 1 1/2 - 2 hours long.

Re: How often does your 14 month old nap?
DS usually sleeps 2x a day for a total of 3 hours. Some days we just do 1 nap if we are busy doing other stuff so then he only naps for an hour and a half. He sleeps at night from 9-7:30am.

Re: How often does your 14 month old nap?
My son refused to take a second nap around 10 months. At first it was really hard, but he gradually started taking his morning nap later and for longer periods of time, so that became more manageable.
He generally sleeps 11-12 hours at night and 1-2 hours during his nap. If he sleeps a lot at night, it seems as if his nap is often short, though not always.

ds is 13.5months. he still do 2naps per day...about 4 hours total and sleep from 8pm - 7:30am.
maybe he's teething? about a month ago, my ds would wake up 2-3x at night for 3weeks. found out he was teething.

DD has only been taking one nap per day since she turned 1. Mon-Fri the nap is 2-3 hours. Sat & Sun the nap is 1-3 hours.

Re: How often does your 14 month old nap?
We just recently started giving my 14 month old DD one nap a day and it has made such a difference!! It used to take forever to get her to fall asleep for the night, she wouldnt go to sleep until 10;30 or so and would wake up alot during the night. Since we went down to one nap a day (about 45 min-2hrs) she falls asleep within 10 minutes at night at 8:45 consistantly and wakes up much less or not at all....Im so happy we did this!!!!

Re: How often does your 14 month old nap?
Kyle is a Great night sleeper-goes down at 7:30/7:45 and sleeps till 8 or sometimes even 9 the next morning without any wake ups (which shocks me since he was born with club feet and has to wear special shoes with a bar attached all night-I would never be able to sleep like that-lol!). Since he wakes up so late he only takes on afternoon nap which ranges from 2-3 hours mostly depending on what we have planned for the day or if I have to wake him to pick up my daughter from preschool which stinks.
