How often does your inner "middle aged woman" come out?

Sometimes I feel like I'm 40.
I'm not even joking!

ok, either I'm 40, or just a drip! I'm really starting to think there's a party gene" and Rich and I just never got one

I met Rich at 17 and I couldn't wait to just "grow up" and marry him. I used to watch my friends start prepping at 7:30 so they could hit the bars at 10:30 and flirt with guys they'd never even look at on the street just so they'd get free drinks. I mean- the conversations were limited to Which one borrowed the leather pants last time, who gets them tonight....who's holding all the cells so we don't drunk dial so-and-so....who's drinking 1/2 the amount to make sure no one ends up naked on the pool table, etc.

I guess I was just never the girl to throw on a boobie shirt and party at the clubs all night - not even while away at school! Actually, the only time I've ever set foot in a club was to drag a drunk friend out by her hair before she created a love child with some frat boy she met "like, sooo 5 minutes ago."

Not that there's anything wrong with that AT ALL - I'm just saying I never did it - never had the desire. I've never driven drunk...never got in the car with a drunk person...never even puffed a cigarette. I was definitely a goody goody choir priss, and I kinda like it! My sister is the exact opposite.

If you give me 2 glasses of wine, you'd better made sure I'm wearing 3 layers of clothing because I have NO TOLERANCE! Rich always said I was a cheap date.

I still like to have a good time - but not like other 23 yr olds. Anyone follow me? Anyone feel the same?

yes, I'm tipsy (I had a rough couple days and treated myself to a glass of pinot grigio a few minutes ago) and a little emotional tonight

im the same way tho--never had the desire to real party--i had to force myself to go out and do this once in awhile cause pple inissted i was missing out or something..lol never was my thing tho

Im 23, rarely EVER went to a bar, club, etc.
Never smoked or really anything else.


Anthony is now old like me too.But back in his teens and early 20s,he was all into being at the clubs till 10 in the morning the next day

I had my time back in the day but now I find the old lady in me coming out more and more. I now have a 2 drink maximum and it's now 10:56pm...waaaay past my bedtime!

I was definitely a "party person", but my two youngest sisters are like Shorty. My baby sister actually got drunk for the first time in her life at 24- only cuz she wanted to know what it was like. She hadn't had a drink at all before that.

I hear ya! I am 24 and I NEVER hung out with my high school friends on the weekends cause they always partied and I was just not into that. I started dating my DH when I was 17 and he was 19. He was never into the club scene and never went out and partied. We go out now with friends and stuff but I'd honestly rather go to a bar or lounge with a DJ than a club that is crowded and crazy. I've always been that way. I like to drink when I go out but I know how to control myself and I will not go out if there isn't a designated driver or public transportation. Now that I am older, sometimes I'd rather stay home and entertain and have people over.

In high school I was the responsible one bringing my druken cheerleader twin sister home in a shopping cart.

In my 20s, I had my own fun going out with friends. I was never into the club scene or scamming on guys since I always was dating someone.

My middle-aged woman started to come out recently...right in time since if I die at 76, I'm middle aged right now.

For a middle aged woman, Shorty you look terrific.

OMG thats so funny! My inner middle aged woman is coming out at the moment as I am quite shocked at the lyrics of a popular song on the radio by the Sugababes!! It has these lines and I find them really shocking..."Got such a pretty kitty and I know you want to pet it" followed by "the weather's nice and wet just south of the border" as I said to my husband, they might as well call the song "Hello would you like to perform oral sex on me please while I sing about it"

I don't have an "Inner middle aged woman", I AM a middle aged woman. And so is my DH.

We both had very mild "party phases" if you could even call them that.

We started dating at 16, and I never really went to a bar or club w/my friends. Or smoked or got drunk or did E-lol. My friends used to beg me to go out, but I really did not feel the need....

I only recently got really drunk ( last year) and I was w/him lol

and the other night was the first time i went to a bar w/o him-i know im such a loosa lol but we have the same friends n always go out w/each other

right now, i rather have ppl over too :)

I am with you! I am now 26 but I never had a party gene in me! I never stepped foot in a club til my bachelorette party! I was never into the partying & bar scene. I use to be in bed by 10:30 or 11 on the weekends!

When I was 17 I started to date my ex & we use to hang out in couples but never did the "bar" thing. Plus i am not a drinker by any means. When I met DH, I was so happy to find someone that was the same as me. We were 21 & never went to a bar! Luckily he had no desire to be a partier either!

Now that we are married, our neighbors all tease us! Our lights are out by 9PM during the week! They contributed it to the newlywed thing. Not true at all, we are sleeping Our weekends consist of dinner & friends over the house. I just feel a lot older then 26 but don't regret it in the least bit!

I never partied in high school. NEVER. I didn't have my first alcohalic drink until I was 21. I did smoke - it wasn't a lot and it wasn't for very long. In my 20's I would go to bars but not clubs. Hated them. The only reason I'd stay out late on the weekends was because my boyfriend (now my husband) didn't get out of work until midnight and we'd meet up at a local bar. (We both lived at home.) I'm in bed before midnight on the weekends now and almost NEVER go out.

My inner middle aged lady comes out all the time now. . . especially when I ride the subway and a group of high school kids get on - they're so loud that I just start mumbling "pipe down you crazy kids!"

Boy was I the opposite of you I did the whole bar and club scene to death! trust me when I tell you - you didn't miss a THING! sure I have some great memories, but honestly, I would have given it all up in a HEARTBEAT if I could have met my DH younger in life! I thank God for him everyday, but I so wish we could have started our life together a little earlier.
