How old for an exersaucer?
How old was/is your baby when you started using the exersaucer? Mollie is almost 4 months...is it too early?

I believe Julia was around 5 months when I put her in the exersaucer.

Re: How old for an exersaucer?
Gianna was about 4.5 months old when she went into one
As long as DC can hold their head/neck up and steady you can put them in.
At first she would just stare or hold one of the toys.

Re: How old for an exersaucer?
Marron was just about 4 months old. She had good head and neck control but could not yet sit up on her own. I also put a receiving blanket either in front of her or behing her to take up some of the space. She too would just kind of stare at the toys and play with them a bit. Now she is a jumping bean!!

Re: How old for an exersaucer?
DD was 5 months old and I would put a rolled up blanket in the seat part with her so she wouldn't flop around. Now she is 6 months and loves it.

Re: How old for an exersaucer?
Ok....she can hold her head up and has great head control, but she can't sit up on her own. Maybe she will get one for Hannukah

Re: How old for an exersaucer?
My doctor told me not to put him in it until 6 months because there hips are not fully developed yet.

I have the same doctor, but I put Mikey in it at 5 months-- but for very short periods of time.

Re: How old for an exersaucer?
Madeline started using hers around 5 mos. I believe that is when the doctor told me it was ok. I also used a blanket behind her for support in the beginning.

My doctor told me not to put him in it until 6 months because there hips are not fully developed yet. this makes sense to me...DD is almost 6.5 months and has yet to step foot in one. she's still way too wobbly and can't sit by herself. as of now i'm waiting until she can sit...
I have PT's in my famiily and they said to not let them go in it before 5 months at the very earlierst since they can develop issues with their hips and walking. I am going to wait till 6 months.
