How old was your baby the first time...

Hi ladies I have an ob/gyn appt. on thurs. my husband is working my mom cant come and everyone else has plans....

I have taken the baby in the car but there was always someone with the baby in the back .... either my husband drove and I was in the back or I drove and my mom was in the back with the baby...

How old was DC when you took them in the car by yourselves...

Also the distance is about an hour drive.....

Also at the ob/gyn office can I lrave the baby in the stroller....

Should I go it alone?
Or should I reschedule?

I am so nervous?
I always think the worst....

Any recommendations..

As soon as I was allowed to drive after my c-section (2 weeks) I had Kaydyn in the car and we went everywhere.

Re: How old was your baby the first time...

depends on how she reacts to carrides, and how often she eats and pees.

The first driving w/o DH carride for us was about 6-8 weeks? At any rate, it was a ride home from Oma's house (40 min drive). He cried the first 5 min... fell asleep, and then woke up 15 min later and cried another 6-7 min and fell back asleep as we arrived back home.

He's always been fairly good in the car. In our case it was an 'I'm alone' issue... he didn't realize I was in the front seat... so I had to continually speak to him and sing when he was awake....

I drove DS home from the hospital (he was realeased the day after me) 4 days PP. That was about an hour ride too & I've driven him around by myself just about every day since!
