My DS was around 2 1/2 - 3. It was an early morning breakfast movie {served bagels/juice boxes} and was interested in the movie and ran around a little bit too and it was a kid's showing, so there were tons of kids there

where was this? I think my DD (who is almost 3) would love that, it sounds so cute!

Re: How old was your DC the first time they went to the movies?
We've been taking Genevieve since she was an infant When she was younger, we would only go earlier on the weekends when it wasnt so crowded. I have NEVER had to leave the theater because of her being too loud, crying, etc.
She really started enjoying it when she was about 16 months old and we took her to see Ratatouille (sp?) Since then she has come with us to packed theaters to see Hancock , Bolt, Madagascar 2, Indiana Jones and tons of others and was great!
Now Billy on the other hand, is really annoying. Trying to climb the seats and stuff. He is almost 2.
I really think it depends on the child more than anything. Genevieve will sit and watch an entire movie with us at home without getting bored. Billy wont.

I took my neice when she just turned 3 (like 3yrs and 2 months) she understood to be quiet and she was but she fell asleep! We went to see Horton Hears a Who
eta - someone told me that Island 16 movie theatre has kids movie day on Tues mornings (I am not 100% sure of the day/time)

I have taken Emma since she was itty bitty. Just give them some snacks and they usually sit It's all kids so no one cares if they are loud.
