Spinoff: to Old Movies ... Classics

I'll admit, I've never seen Caddyshack or Indian Jones. I've missed out on Spaceballs and St. Elmo's Fire ....

so my question is ... what are some of your "I can't believe you have never seen that movie!!!" choices you would recommend?

I'll start with some I have seen that I love

* Young Frankenstein (with Gene Wilder)
* When Harry Met Sally

Beleieve it or not, no. My brother is a Hepburn fanatic and I never even thought to pick up any of his movies. I should borrow it from him!

Also Meet Me in St. Louis. I love this movie!!
and Bells of St. Mary's. Both holiday classics that a lot of my peers have never seen.

I have never even attempted to watch Indiana Jones. Is that bad?

Re: Spinoff: to Old Movies ... Classics

There are a few movies my DH has never seen and I am shocked by it, because he is a bigger movie person than I am .. ie., A Few Good Men ... OFficer and a Gentlemen... all the Godfathers (Chat Icon sacriligious!) .. the Exorcist..

and WEST SIDE STORY! I ADORE that movie and I cannot belive SO MANY people I know have never seen it!!

Ooh and Gone with the Wind also... I simply cannot believe people have never tried watching that, I was obsessed with that movie growing up .. Chat Icon

I am not a fan of overly depressing films, no matter how good they are. For that reason I have never seen, nor do I have any desire to see "Schindler's List".

I've never seen "It's a Wonderful Life" and have no desire to see it.

I love all the movies with Gene Kelly in them, and also Ann Miller. They're such awesome dancers!

I also love "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne. I'm not a John Wayne fan, but I love watching that movie around St. Patrick's day!

Re: Spinoff: to Old Movies ... Classics

How about Movies that you love that came out within the past 10-15 years?

Ones you can quote from or love to watch whenever they are on TV ...

Re: Spinoff: to Old Movies ... Classics

Mannaquien!! I don't know if I spelled it right. But I love that movie.

I am also a huge Pretty in Pink fan.

Of course Goonies!!! I don't think you can be considered American if you have not seen it.

What about that Bjork movie? I think Dancer in the Dark? I really don't recommend it, but I love it.

Boyz In the Hood

State of Grace with Sean Penn!!! that is a must see.

Good Fellas I have memorized.
