how old was your DC when they started drinking less milk/formula?
DS has been on about 22 oz. a day since 8 months. he's 10.5 months now - almost 11.
i am pretty sure he'd be fine with less (around 16 oz.) because he doesn't always finish his bottles but i don't want to cut back too soon.
i'd ask the ped but this isn't an emergency and he doesn't have an appointment till september.

ds is 10 months... he just dropped drastically in the past week... since i pump i noticed it by the fact that i now have 8 bottles in the fridge... i would say he now drinks about 18 oz a day as opposed to 30... but i also started whole milk (as per the pediatrician) and i think that because it is thicker he is more satisfied

I just noticed yesterday he wasn't finishing his bottles, today too. he is 10.5 months so maybe this is the right time. he has been drinking 6 6 oz bottles a day  I can't wait to move him to whole milK!

Because of my ds size (he is in the 125% for height) they told me i could move him to whole milk at 8 months... i felt that was way too soon... she said it again at 9 months... i waited until after i went on vaca and just started the slow switch this week... it is more because i am nursing but my supply is gone pretty much due to baby#2.... so instead of pushing formula to then just push whole milk i caved... and well since ds went into 3t clothes today i figure he can handle it

I think it was about 10 months or so. I always offered the same amount and he would drink what he wanted. Honestly I don't really keep track since he's growing and gaining. I just offer and he eats. He always stops when he's full.
Now that he's 1 he gets a cup of milk with each meal and when he wakes up in the morning. Sometimes he drinks the whole cup, other times he doesn't.
