how old was your dc when you starting using sunscreen???
Just wondering bc I was reading the post about what type---I always thought it was 6 months??? Can i start earlier?

I think Drs would like you to wait until 6months, but if you're going to be in the sun before then, better to use sunscreen and then wash it right off, than not use any at all.

We started around 5 months when we went to Aruba. My ped said that they now approve use from 3 months old.

We used it when DD was about a month or two old. OUr ped ok'd it, benefits far outweigh the risk of sunburn on a newborn. We did though do our best to stay out of the sun.

I call my ped yesterday.. my dc is 5 months old..she recommended coppertone paba free sunscreen.
