9 months. She played with her ears too much before that. She used to tug on them pretty hard when falling asleep.

Both my girls got them done the same day they got their first shots.
Kaitee was a few days shy of 2 months and Brooke was 2 1/2 months old.

Same here. I was starting to think I was the only one!!!!!
My SIL had her ears pierced when she was a few months old, and now the holes are so close to her head because her ears grew. She said she wishes she had just let them close up and had them pierced again.

She is getting them done at her next well visit when she will be a little over 6 months. She has inherited my mother's diamond studs but will not get them until her Bat Mitzvah when she is old enough to understand how important they are and responsible enough to take care of them. She also has a gorgeous set of Peridot studs in a martini setting that DH's sisters gave her for her baby naming. They are her birthstone (mine too actually).

I always thought I'd have them done asap, but I too am waiting. I never had a problem with my own 1st ear, but my 2nd and 3rd kept growing to the edge of my ear (and I only wore studs in them). So I am afraid my DD will have that problem too. Plus she still pulls her ears, so I rather just wait.
