How soon after D&C do you ovulate?
I had a D&C yesterday - not much bleeding today. I read somewhere that you can count this as CD 1. My doc said just to wait 2 weeks so wondering if it's possible to TTC this month. Anyone been through this? TIA!

Personally I think 2 weeks is way too soon. I'm so sorry and I know this is not what you want to hear, but after a loss you need time for the inflammation in your uterus to come down and for your lining to recover from the procedure. I'm surprised your doctor says 2 weeks, especially after a d&c.... Even after my chemical I was told to hold off a month. After my d&c I was told to wait two months. I was with Dr.Braverman who specializes in multiple miscarriages.

Ok. Thanks everyone. I just heard so many success stories of people who got pregnant right after a D&C so I thought that was ok. Thanks for your advice. :)

I heard the same thing you did about people getting pregnant very soon after their D & C, but my RE warned that your lining needs time to recooperate and it would not be a good idea to get pregnant without letting a first full cycle go by. That said, for me, I did not O after my D & C on my own, and after 50 plus days with little sign that my body was going to return to Oing anytime soon I was put on Provera to bring on AF. Your hormones can be so out of wack it's hard to predict when you may O.
