How soon/far along do you hear the heartbeat for the first time?

im going for my first sono on friday and im hoping to hear the heartbeat... until i do ill be nervous.... ill be 7 weeks. too soon huh?

I think I was 8 weeks.

I was eight weeks as well for my first sono and heard the heart beat.

I heard it at 7 weeks, 2 days, so there's a chance!

We saw and heard the heartbeat during a sono at 6W4D

I am pretty sure I SAW the heartbeat at 6 weeks.

My OB didn't use the doppler to listen until later on, like 10-12 weeks b/c it freaks people out when they can't hear.

we saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks. My OB doesn't listen for it until the 12 wk appointment.

I saw the heartbeat at 5 weeks!

If they do an internal sono you might be able to hear it.

We saw the heartbeat with my first pregnancy at 6+3 - I didn't have a sono until 8+4 this time around, so that's when we saw it.

You should know though that they might change your dates when you're there depending on the growth of the fetus. Do you know when you conceived and/or when you ovulated? 7 weeks is a touch and go time - meaning you might be able to see it, but you might not if you're dates are a few days out. If you don't see it, try not to stress, they'll likely have you back in another week or so to try again. good luck!

We saw the heartbeat at 6w4d and heard the heartbeat at 7w4d

We saw the hearbeat around 5 1/2 weeks and heard the heartbeat around 7 1/2 weeks.

Bring your SO to these appts if you can! DH was all teary-eyed when we experienced this together.

i heard the heartbeat with a doppler at 14 weeks but i saw it with an internal sonogram at 6.5 weeks.

We saw the heartbeat at 5 weeks 2 days and heard it at 8 weeks one day.

I was 7 weeks and 4 days when I had an internal untrasound, and got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat

I saw the heartbeat at 6w3d but the RE told me I would most likely hear it on Monday 7w3d

It was January 9, 2008 - a year ago yesterday. I think I was about 6 weeks along (give or take a few days). I remember it because it was my father's birthday .

I saw the heartbeat at 6weeks6days and I am hoping to hear the heartbeat at my 12 week sono in 2 weeks!!!

I heard it at 8 weeks.

I saw the heartbeat blinking like a curser on the screen at 6 weeks for both my pregnancies.

you'll definitely be able to see the heartbeat. hopefully you'll be able to hear it too!

we didnt "hear " the heartbeat until 14weeks... we "Saw" it at our 7 1/2 week sono
