How to BREAK a HABIT
So for the past couple of weeks, the only way my DS will fall asleep is if he is physically on my chest. He is going to be 6 months old on Friday and I need to stop this before its too late. Is this normal? I mean, I really love it - but I am afraid it may go on for too long, if I don't put a stop to it. Once he falls asleep on me...I just transfer him into his crib.
What do I do? Just a heads up, he is down for a nap now. I knew he was tired, so I put him in his crib with his pacifier. Through the monitor I can hear and see him being cranky and whiny - not crying. I have about two rattles and a musical thing attached to his crib. Should I remove these? Are they distracting him? This is the only thing I can think of, of why he won't fall asleep in his crib.

Re: How to BREAK a HABIT
When DS was between 6 and 7 months old, we did CIO with him so that he could fall asleep on his own in his crib.
It was a couple of days of torture for DH and I, but well worth it!!!!
