How to cut out night time feeding
DD was sleeping through the night but once she started teething full force that went out the window.
She wakes every 4-5 hours at night but will go 6-7 during the day. How can i cut out her night time feeding??? Should I just let her CIO??

Re: How to cut out night time feeding
Maybe she is going through a growth spurt and needs to eat. How old is she? My DD is 6 months old and she still wakes up 1 or 2 times a night. She is also big for her age (21 lbs). She seems so hungry so I can't imagine not feeding her and letting her cry. The only way I would do that is if she didn't seem interested in eating.

DD is 6 months and about 20lbs so it might be a growth spurt. It's just kicking the crap out of me...i feel like such a zombie

Re: How to cut out night time feeding
When I needed to cut out the nighttime feeding b/c I felt DD was just waking out of habit, I started by diluting the milk down to almost all water, and then I slowly decreased the amount I was giving her. Once it isn't "worth it" for them to wake up to eat, they'll stay asleep.

Re: How to cut out night time feeding
Like pharmcat said, its habit. If your baby is eating enough calories during the day she dont need the "mid night snack" so to speak. When my baby would get up for a bottle I would rock her to sleep if she screamed or would not go back down I would feed her. SHe will catch on that your not gonna feed her at 2am and will sleep thru it.

That's what i was thinking, that she's just used to getting fed at night. And now that she's on solids i thought she would def. sleep through the night.
I just can't see letting her scream all night, I think i'll try diluting her formula first and slowly get her off the idea of eating at night.
