How to rid your life of ivy????
Our neighbors have a TON of ivy growing along the property edge (actually all over their entire property). I hate it - it comes over to our side constantly, I've had to trim it back (and by trim back I mean reach over the fence onto their side to get the farthest piece I could) at least 7 times since the spring. It's starting to come up into our lawn, it's definitely strangling other plants in its path... I just loathe the thing. I swear, it must be an alien species.
How can I get rid of it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!??!??

I don't know but I have the same problem. They're really supposed to maintain it.... We had their tree branches in our yard and just cut it and threw on their property (we have co ops behind us) bc it's their responsibly. All my neighbors do it lol

I don't think there is a way to really get rid of it without taking the entire plant out. Just maintaining it which is such a pain. I hate ivy.
My parents had this on their property and some of the stalks of the ivy were so thick that you needed a chainsaw to cut them out. It was killing the trees.
I feel your pain. If people are going to plant these things they need to take care of it instead of letting it go.

I'm willing to try just about anything. We're planning on putting up new fencing in the spring - we weren't 100% sure if we were going to do the pvc in this area of the front of the house, but at this point I'm pretty certain I will.
the crappy thing is that I think we need to dig up under our grass and other plants to get rid of the root on our side of the yard, I'm soooo pi$$ed about that!

NO - IT WILL CONTAMINATE THE SOIL AND WILL SPREAD OUT UNDERGROUND.
You won't be able to plant anything afterwards and you will kill off your grass.

How to rid your life of ivy????
Home depot sells a spray for it. I forgot the name, but it killed it off our fences, and then we hacked the rest of it. My neighbors behind us have a wall of it. Its a constant battle. I hate them just becUse of their ivy.

we hired someone to get rid of our ivy it was taking over! not sure what they did to get rid of it!
