How to tell the parents?

So DH and I decided we are gong to tell both of our parents together. My parents will be in town on the 18th and I told my parents and his that I wanted to cook them dinner...which is usual when my parents com to town...This is about 1 week before my first doctors appt...but I am dying to tell!

So how did you tell your parents? i want to do something special and was thinking of getting them all like silly #1 grandpa/grandma shirts or something...i also thought of the willow tree things...but the granpa one is with a little boy and what if I have a girl? So I am looking for ideas that I can steal!

I am no help, I called both of them the morning of my BFP and screamed I'm Pregnant !

I think the tee -shirt is a cute idea !

We gave my parents a card and said it was a "thank you" for the wedding, since it was about a month later. The card said congratulations new grandparents. My dad was crying and sobbing he was so happy. My mother didn't believe it for a second lol. They really liked that we did it that way. I just couldnt think of perfect words to say. I also wrote in it "your grandchild will be arriving in January". I'm sure they'll keep the card. My DH's parents live in Greece so DH just told them over the phone. GL!!

I would wrap up little booties or something for each set of parents and have them open it at the same time.. But I like the shirt Idea cause they can wear it ..

Since we did IVF they were pretty much waiting for me to take a test. I just called them and told them about 5 minutes after.
