Re: How was the Oyster Festival - ???

We went yesterday and both DH and I thought the food was better than any other year, and since it was such a beautiful day it was really great down there.

LIE to Exit 41N or Northern State to Exit 35N. Both will bring you to Rt. 106/107 north. After the Milleridge Inn, 106/107 will split, stay to right and take 106 north. Cross over Rt. 25A (Northern Blvd) and continue into Oyster Bay.

Parking, well, good luck the further north you get. If your willing to walk a little, park at St. Dominic's school/church and walk. It's hilly, but not a terribly long walk.

BTW, St. Dominic's is at Weeks Avenue, which is a right turn off Rt. 106, right by the Dodds and Eder Nursery.

I saw that, and couldn;t go in because I had my 2 kids with me, but no DH. Can you FM me what it was?? please!!

I just got back at 2:30, we went at 11:30. Parked no problem, walked a few blocks down and got to the heart of it. My kids ate pretzels, iced-tea, I got a bag of zeppoles to take home and I put my name in like a million raffles.

Coming home, the traffic was backed up going into Oyster Bay for miles. I am in East Norwich and people were parking that far south and walking.

It was a gorgeous day though for it.

Who'd you see?? I didn't see anyone I knew! I guess that was good considering my kids were crying over one thing or another at all times.

It was okay, but very crowded and the crafts were expensive.
