How would you rate your friends at work? POLL
I have 5 lifelong friends from my old job that I love to pieces. We were at each other's weddings, confide in one another, talk all the time, etc. I find that now at my new job, I am very friendly but do not see the potential for longterm friendships with anyone. Just curious about most people's work relationships.

I had this conversation two weeks ago. I called him a "co-worker friend of convenience" because we only hung out on Friday nights. I said in order to be upgraded, we had to hang out when it was inconvenient. Like on a Saturday.
I have a friend who came to my wedding, and I went to her baby shower. We went to happy hour a few times. But that's about it. I don't think that really constitutes a real friendship - more of a work one.

It's funny, when I was younger, I looked for friends at work. Now, I don't have that desire anymore. I guess my life is fuller with my DH & the friends I already have.

One of my friends who worked with me for a year is def a friend for life. Right now, most of the people I work with are just friends of convenience.

I met my BF at our first job- and 3 other girls who I am all still friends with
next job 2 girls still good friends with
and I have only been at this job 3 weeks- but there are already a few girls who I really like

from my old job. three girls that i love. I always for some reason tend to make risnds with people 7-8 years older than me. They are all 30-31 now. Ive known them since i was 18.
At this job, ive been here less than a year and although i like all my coworkers and we're friendly, o dont know if we'll ever be "friends" outside of work

I have a few friends here at work that I really like, but I will be leaving here in a few minths and as much as I would like to remain friends.....it usually doesn't happen.

before this job, i never really talked to any of the girls at the office---they were always snobby, talkin behind backs
this job i met my good friend :)
who is no longer here anymore 
but we are stil friends!

I have life long friends that I have met at old jobs - but at my current job I am the only girl and A LOT younger than most of them. I really like all my co workers and have a great time at work, we laugh all day. I just don't have anything in common with these guys to hang out outside of work.

I would say most of my Co-workers are older but we are all very friendly, Only one girl that is close to my adge to I consider a freind
she has come to my house severl times and we hang out out side the office together. I am here to work and not spend my day socilalizing......

They fall between "Close, lifelong friends" and "Friends for now but not when I leave"
i love al lthe guys here- they are all gems - each and every one of them- but i am sure that if i leave the office they will not be calling me ot come hang out, however they will certainly be friendly with me when i leave and proably keep in touch here and there but not enough to say lifelong firends

I have two life long friend's that I met at work. They are two of my very best friends too...
I have another really good friend...and I have become friends with his fiance and the 4 of us hang out.
The rest are people I will probably lose touch with once I/we leave.

Since I've started working full time, I've made several life-long friends, but never more than one per company. It's always like that, even though I might be friendly with a whole group of people at the job - when I leave, I only manage to keep in touch with 1.
