That is ridiculous, he knows how to handle himself, it's not like he's going to bring naked girls to sit with him... 
I actually agree with this...I think he's the biggest piece of trash.

I am wondering this too...most of my friends that despise him don't listen to the show. He's very different than they realize.

When we see the start of AGT & SYTYCD we know summer is here  We have watched AGT since its beginning and have loved the varity of the show.
Umm... I liked Piers as i think his no-nonsense-acts-pls was a good benchmark. His constant fued with Howie... well was never quite sure if that was for ratings or real
With Stern joing.... things should be real interesting. I am sure he will speak his mind on stupid acts.... we will just see alot of blue beeps over his comments. 
Cant wait for Poplyfe 1st album

Nah, he knows the deal. I doubt he'll say anything that will require bleeping. When he goes on network radio, tv now he never says any of the forbidden words.

Everyone that has this preconceived notion of howard, remembers him from the 80's, mid 90's, when a lot of his act was strippers, lesbians, farting, etc.
If you are avid fan and actually do listen to his show, he is probably one of the most intelligent, articulate, witty men I can think of. People who don't listen daily, think he went to Sirius to be able to curse, and have a more graphic show. Not true at all.
Sure, he has an occasional porn star on his show, but he and Robin are so well versed on so many topics, speak the truth - his show is not like it once was in the 80's when you were listening.
He is not judging to be the center of universe, or because he is broke. He has been judging like this on his show for decades. He was doing American Idol type bits 15 yrs ago.
All that said, I've never once watched AGT, but I will be tuning in now. I hope he gets his proper lighting so he doesnt look like a 'scarecrow', lol. Cant wait.

I don't see how he is qualified in any way to judge talent. I've seen his movies, listen to his show..etc..I think the "king of all Media" doesn't rank as someone who will judge the show with any expertise. It's a dog and pony show and another avenue of his career..it's all about him.

I don't think Piers Morgan does either. I just don't think Howard has the chops to determine talent in this arena. Howard has a music background?

But seriously though, who really IS qualified to judge a show like AGT? You'd have to have someone who has expertise in singing, dancing, death-defying acts, magic, lighting, bike tricks, gymnastics, vantriloquy, fire-eating, etc.
I'm sure they just wanted an interesting, smart celebrity with an opinion and with followers to bring viewers to the show and they got that with Howard! I seriously think he's going to be an awesome judge.

Precisely why it's a dog and pony show. I don't think it's fair to the hopefuls to make it all about the judges and with him as a judge it will be all about him and what he will say next. The shock value will attract viewers but do nothing for the people who hope to get their break.
