H.R. Singletons in Bethpage
has anyone ever been here? DH and I are going there tomorrow night for a birthday party, and I am wondering what type of atmosphere it is. I'm not really sure how to dress.
TIA

Is that right next to the Japanese restaraunt on Hicksville Rd?

If it is - the steak place - my stepsister had her surprise 40th there last year... its very casual - like a typical steak place... Dress nicely, but not too formal...
ETA - you said its at night - so dress in black pants, or even a nice pair of jeans with heels and a cute top....

It's a mid/casual place. You can go in jeans and a nice top or pants or a skirt or a dress..not as casual as Chilis or Applebees..but not formal either.
doesn't matter. I hope that helps.

I have no idea...I'm a suffolk girl, I'm not all that familiar with most of Nassua.

I was thinking about a pair of Capri's and a baby doll shirt...to hide the pregnancy weight that I still haven't lost.

it took me about 3 months after my son was born to wear jeans...and even then I could only wear them for a few hours comfortably... about a year after he was born, I could wear them at the longest 10 hours...then the burning would start again. My daughter is 3 1/2 months now and I can't even wear them for 20 minutes without feeling the burn...I guess the scar is more sensitive the 2nd time around.
I now understand why some women resort to the "MOM" jeans...you know the ones that go all the way up to your boobs, and create a bubble pouch in the tummy area. But I would never ever be caught dead in those jeans

oh good GOD no! I can see myself suffering the way I do in painfully narrow, high heels!
