HSG experience

I had an HSG today and it was OK. I felt a lot of pressure and a slight bit of cramping. It's not that bad for anyone that has to get one.

Mine was awful It was the most horrible pain and I always said there is NO WAY I would do it again awake, they would have to put me out.

Re: HSG experience

Mines wasn't bad either. Just slight cramping. I thought the saline sono was worse and they say that its supposed to be easier.

Re: HSG experience

Mine was painless - slight cramping but after a colposcopy it was nothing in comparison. I took a few Motrin beforehand.

Glad you experience was not bad!!

Re: HSG experience

For my HSG the worst was the waiting. Take 3 motrin beforehand & you will be fine. It really wasn't that bad. Good Luck.

I really don't want to get this done, though it makes me feel better that it's not so bad for some people.

I need to have this test, but I've had trouble setting it up. Hopefully I can do it next month if I'm not PG.

Re: HSG experience

so happy to hear you had a realtively painless experience. I had 2 and both times just had what felt like a bad PMS pain. I also took motrins about 20 minutes before. I've had IUI's that were more uncomfortable than the HSG
