My cousins son's fontanals closed to soon and he had surgery and is just perfect now. He had to wear one of those helmets for a few months, but he is a bright and perfectly normal 4 year old. If you have any questions Jenn, please reach out to me.

Oh Jenn, I'm so sorry  Poor Hunter- praying he will be fine and won't need surgery.
And ugh- don't listen to that miserable woman he will be fine in the cat scan!

I told MIL and she said that they will put him to sleep if he needs a Cat scan and bc it's so dangerous, he may not wake up.  (I hate her. She is a mean, thoughtless horrible person.)
Really? Your MIL is a moron, 1, and 2 she is cruel, no wonder you hate her!
DD had the CT scan done about the same age to also rule out early bone fusion. Took all of 1 minute and they were able to do it without sedation (we had to ask if they could though) Even if they had to sedate her it's a mild sedation because they need to be still.
Good luck at your appointment, I'm sure they're just being overly cautious. My coworker's sister had this and had to have the surgery and all is fine now, and this was over 25 years ago. I know when I was going through this with DD there are a couple of Yahoo groups with very supportive people who've been through the testing and both plagiocephaly and craniosynostosis.

And if one of my ILs said that to me, I'd ask DH to demand they apologize and keep their mouths shut in the future or else they would not be permitted to see DC ahain until he's in high school.

I'm fuming for you right now What nerve!
I guess you could say I have a lot of head related experience. DS has Hydrocephalus, has worn a helmet, has had head reconstruction surgery, among other things. A CT is really not a big deal. DS has had many CTs & MRIs. They only put them out for maybe 5-20 minutes (depending, you can ask) and there's an anethesiologist there to monitor the whole time. He'll be fine. I will pray my hardest that his head is not fused I'm here if you need anything
If you need any recs, we LOVE our neurosurgeon and place we get CTs & MRIs. Sending you lots of strength &
