A few years ago, I stayed at the Green Mountain View Inn. It is a B&B, very nice..

it's not on hunter, but windham-about a 20min drive at most. albergo allegra bed and breakfast. LOVE it.

I stayed at the Hunter Inn and it was nice.
Not sure if you know this but there are 2 big festivals in Hunter in Aug - the German Festival & the Celtic Festival (I think they are weekends of 8/9 and 8/16)
