Re: Huntington Medical Group
I used to see Dr. Callan there, but the wait was SO long. I had to make an appointment at least 3 months in advance, and any time I went I waited over an hour.

Re: Huntington Medical Group
I went there for 2 years and left last year. I did not like them. Just my opinion. Many people think they are great, but I did not feel comfortable at all.

Did she used to be at WGM in East Npt? I think my SIL uses her and loves her (she left WGM to stay with her)

Re: Huntington Medical Group
LONG wait. I used to see an OB/GYN there, she left to form her own practice, thank god. I really hated that place, you'd sit for hours, in every department...my GP sold his practice to a woman who went into the huntington medical group...he had been in a private office, it was terrible-hard to get an appt, and you'd sit in the waiting room for hours.

I think there was a post about this earlier on the parenting board as well. I go to Dr. Singer, she was recommended by 2 friends who both went to her and she delivered their kids, they had nothing but great things to say Shes great so far but I havent had kids yet, hopefully it will continue that way

Yes I used to be with WGM & am considering switching to her at Huntington Medical Group.
I'm glad for this post because it reminded me how long I've gone without a checkup & mammo.

Re: Huntington Medical Group
I go to Dr Singer as well, she will be delivering our baby in March. Sometimes there is a wait, but I absolutely love her, i hated my last ob/gyn. I also love the pharmacy in the building, they fill prescriptions in about 5 mins or less

Re: Huntington Medical Group
I used to go there but I wasn't entirely happy with my doctor, Dr. Scanlon. I thought he was a bit lax about a potential issue I had.
And, yes, you do absolutely wait forever
ETA: I can't speak for any other doctor there. I only saw him.

Re: Huntington Medical Group
I go to Dr. Callan at North Shore Medical (this group is often confused with Huntington Medical). Callan is at the practice on New York Avenue and one day in Commack. I like her very much, and the wait has never been terrible - but I see her in Commack which may have less traffic.
Scanlon and Callan are part of North Shore, not Huntington, at least they are now.
ETA: Where is Dr. Goldman (male)? His name keeps coming up but I don't think he's with either Huntington or North Shore Medical Group. TIA!
Never mind - found it! He's at WGM.

Oops, did I mess that up? She has an office in COmmacK? Where is it? I stopped going to her because my ins. changed but now I have different ins again. I didn't go back to her because the wait was absolutely ridiculous in huntington, I'd have to set aside 2-4 hours in my day for an appt.

Re: Huntington Medical Group
I used them for OBGYN once a few years ago because at the time it was close to home...The woman (I dont even remember her name) was HORRIBLE) all I can say is I was crying during my exam (and I am a tough cookie that can take A LOT of pain and didn't even flinch during childbirth). She basically manhandled me and was so rough I was like "Ouch your hurting me, please stop" and her reply was "it's an exam, they are not supposed to be fun...I was mortified and needless to say, never went back. I was walking funny for the rest of the day because of that BI@TCh.

I *think* she is there on Wednesdays; the office is at 66 Commack Road. It's a new satellite office of primary care (I see Grace Reina), ob/gyn, and I think gastro. Nice place, very little wait. The Commack # is 881-7660.
