Hysteroscopy
Hello ladies. I met with Dr Braverman yesterday and I really liked him. He seems very knowledgable and like he will be aggresive with testing. I have to wait for my beta to return to 0 after my last miscarriage but i have a Hysteroscopy set up for next week. How are these? Is there any discomfort or am i fine to go right into work after. Thanks for your help!!
Edited I thought it was the hsg but i think it is Hysteroscopy. Bear with me, I am new to all this

Re: Hysteroscopy
I'm not sure what a hysteroscopy is, but if its teh same as HSG, it was really quick and I had a real sharp cramp, real quick, then it was over. Take some advil about an hour before and you should be okay...if hysteroscopy is different than HSG, I'm sorry...I have no info!
Good luck!

Re: Hysteroscopy
As Lauren said, take an Advil or two an hour before. It's pretty simple, maybe a little cramping. You can go back to work after.

Re: Hysteroscopy
HSG- Checks your tubes Hysteroscopy- a scope is used to check your uterine cavity for abnormalties, fibroids, polps, asherman syndrome
Most of the girls on the boards didn't experience any pain on the HSG/hysteroscopy. However, I experienced pain with both. The hysterscopy hurt the most for me. Take some advil before you go in. Good Luck!

Re: Hysteroscopy
I would have rather had a hysteroscopy than an hsg since I get PG like you. Chances are there is nothing wrong with our tubes. Confirm with the Dr which you are getting. I did have the hsg and it was uncomfortable for me and i had a bit of bleeding but nothing insane. You can handle it

Re: Hysteroscopy
Thanks ladies..it is the hysteroscopy...hopefully it rules out any problems in the uterus although at this point I am just hoping they find some sort of explanation for this!
