I am begging for your prayers. UPDATED AGAIN

I was getting out of DH's car last night to run into our apartment to change for a small party we were going to after dinner.

As I was getting out of the car, I coughed and felt a gush. Needless to say- it was blood. It was red and soaked a pantyliner and my underwear in that one gush (sorry tmi). I went to the bathroom, called DH to come in and called my parents in a panic. DH took me to the ER.

We were there for about 3.5 hours. They did 2 pelvic exams, a sono and took blood.

The pelvic exams showed my cervix was closed. There was no blood at the time of either exam (gushes in between exams) and no pain.

The sono showed a healthy baby at 6w4d. At the RE last monday, it was measuring 6w2d + or - 4 days. So i'm thinking it's measuring okay. The heartbeat was there and more visible then on Monday at the RE- 130bpm.

The blood showed my white cell count to be slightly elevated- but nothing more. Beta-67,000. Double what it needs to be.

I am going to the RE in a few minutes for them to do bw and sono, also- even though they already released me. I am still bleeding, bright red, but it has slowed a bit. The ER doc says it could've been a blood clot between the placenta and uterus. I am fearing the worst.

I need your prayers now more than ever. Please help me.


UPDATE:

Well- I went to the RE this morning and the baby is still okay, heartbeat still there. They saw some blood in my uterus on the sono, but said it could be a result of the other embryo they transfered but didn't implant. The nurse said to expect more bleeding- but hopefully it shouldn't affect the baby.
Dr. K switched me from progesterone suppositories to PIO for the next 2 weeks.

My beta at the hospital from about 12-1am was 67,000.

They took my blood at about 9:15 this morning and it was 87,000. The numbers are still rising very well.

Please keep us in your prayers that everything continues to go well.

2ND UPDATE

Went to the new OB today and the baby is still going strong, measuring on schedule, strong heart beat.

ETA: They said the bleeding was caused by a clot in the uterus, and I need to continue baby aspirin to break it down so it will reabsorb.

Dr. K told me last Monday to discontinue it and i'm so glad I didn't. It probably would've been much, much worse!

I'll be thinking of you. That you saw a strong heartbeat is a great sign that things are going to be okay. Hang in there and keep us updated.

Oh Jen, you poor thing! Hang in there and try to remember, a LOT of women bleed during pregnancy, even profusely, and it's ok. I have a good, good friend at work who, around the same time you are, started GUSHING blood. She was convinced she was m/cing, but like you, the ultrasound showed a healthy, strong heartbeat. The doc told her the same thing, that it was probably a blood clot but they never really found out what it was. Eventually it stopped, and she went on to have a normal pregnancy otherwise, and delivered a healthy girl a few months ago.

Have faith - you saw the MOST important thing - a strong heartbeat. As long as you saw that, and you have no cramping, I think you have a good chance of coming out of this ok

I had the same thing happen to me. Everything turned out fine, I am 20 weeks now. It is the scariest thing and is easy to say try not to worry but that is impossible. Just know that unfortunately this does happen to people and the outcomes isn't always as bad as you think. If you need to talk you can FM me..

No pain is a good sign...I had that happen twice when I was PG with Rogan and both times the baby was fine.

i can only imagine how scared you are...many prayers to you. a heartbeat is a great sign.
