I Am Beginning To Feel Sick About Things...Did I Make a Mistake?
I am sitting here wondering if I should have went for a second opinion! At 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant there was NOTHING on the screen but a small gestation sac. However, my beta's keep rising and were over 10,000 yesterday when my DR made it known this pregnancy definitely wasn't viable because there was not even a yolk sac yet. I believed him as I think most do who have faith in their DR;s but now I am doubting things. Maybe I should just STOP reading things online but I feel sick. And...it's too late now, either way because I too the pill yesterday to force a miscarriage

I had the same thing happen. My betas were over 33K when I miscarried. They quickly went down..it took about 2 weeks in total and I didn't take the pill.
Sorry

Re: I Am Beginning To Feel Sick About Things...Did I Make a Mistake?
I think I wrote a post like this about 1 1/2 years ago. I had the same thing happen. I was not offered meds, my RE thought I would miscarry on my own. 3 1/2 weeks later I had to have a D&C. I was not offered another u/s before it and I always wondered if that was a mistake. If *may be* something kicked in and the pg was viable. I know in my heart it was not but it is hard to say goodbye. Hang in there, you did the right thing. The weeks of waiting to mkiscarry were harder than learning that I lost the baby. I was constantly worried about when it would happen and how it would happen. Have faith, it will work out, I promise.

I dont think you did the wrong thing. A beta of 10,000 is really hight but you should see a yolk sac by then...im sure you did the right thing.

I am so sorry. I think sometimes our minds play tricks on us when we want something so badly. We all understand what you are going through. At least most of us have been in your shoes. The RE's know when its not good and most of them around here are experts and aren't going to make a mistake like that. But, its hard to not make yourself crazy. I'm so sorry. Please know that you did the right thing. There was nothing you could do at this point. It takes a while for the beta to go down. As your hormones were still at a high level. Its going to be hard for a while. Just try to be kind to yourself.

Re: I Am Beginning To Feel Sick About Things...Did I Make a Mistake?
Have they checked your tubes to make sure you don't have an ectopic pregnancy? I know someone that happened to. THey kept telling her no it wasn't that and in the end it was. She lost a tube because of it. I don't want to scare you, but it's better to be safe and make sure you check everything out. I'm so sorry. I know how you feel, I'm going through it myself right now. My thoughs are with you.
