I am so sick of posting things...
And having people be NASTY in their replies.
This is regarding the small pelvis thing...I was QUESTIONING how a doctor would know at 33 weeks that a vag birth couldn't happen, thats all. I was talking to my SIL and the other cousin and we were both like "wow thats weird he made that call that early".
I am not MAD or UPSET I guess if it were ME i would have wanted further explanation and reasons behind it. People have enlightened me to the reasons regarding it, I now have a better understanding of it.
I'm just sick of this. I am always nice, always one of the first to give good heartfelt advice when it comes to everyones children, and never am I nasty...at all!!!! No need to be nasty back, its very hurtful when I never intended it to be. And I never debated c-sections!! I am all for them, most of my family has had to have them and we thank god for the option.

i agree with you--this is the second time in about 2 weeks that people haven't been very nice to you in their replies.
take it with a grain of salt. you asked a valid question and didn't deserve what you received. no one has the right to be nasty.

I only saw the one response and I tend to think things come off worse when people are reading them and you don't always know the tone.
I think all of the other responses were in reference to the question you asked and not nasty at all.

It DOES bother me. Maybe it shouldn't but if anyone knew me they would know I am not someone who sticks my nose in others business and would get involved and upset over a personal decision. I was questioning it for myself and worried that my DH's cousin maybe didn't have all the info necessary that she could have.
I hate that I feel I try to respond to posts with tact, insight and respect and sometimes certain people just make you feel really badly. I am a sensitive person who takes things pretty personally and it just made me upset. I'll get over it!!

Yes, it was one response. I guess that is all it takes. Same with something else I posted about a few weeks back...I never expect to log on and read the replies and feel like someone just took something so totally out of context that they aren't even remotely describing my character.

I understand totally. I'm usually pretty sensitive too. Although I didn't comment on your previous thread (i think i read it quickly as DD was waking up and had no time to post and nothing relevant to add), I didn't think that you were sticking your nose into the cousin's business at all.

I know I'm ultrasensitive but its been a hard week with morning sickness to begin with and pregnancy hormones make me take things ever more personally, lol. I have about a thousand things right now on my plate more important than worrying about this stuff but here I am worrying, lol.

i don't blame you for having it bother you. it bothered ME and the response wasn't even aimed at me. i do know you in real life, and you're right--you're the kindest, most compassionate person i'll probably ever meet. you do everything you can for people and are very selfless. you have every right to ask opinions since you didn't understand why it happened.

I really agree with Diana on this. I don't think anyone was particularly nasty. People were sharing their experiences and knowledge.
I actually just searched the post and re-read and I think it was quite civil honestly.

i hear you about being sensitive. all these pregnancy hormones are doing a number on me too. 
i'm sorry that you got a nasty reply... i'm not sure why your post was interpreted as being angry or intrusive - it didn't seem that way to me at all.
as far as your original question goes - i am a physician and i have never known of a doctor determining whether a vaginal delivery would be possible by measuring a pelvis at 33 weeks. having said that, i am not an OB and may have been daydreaming when they taught that in med school personally, if i were that person and i was really invested in delivering vaginally, i might get a second opinion.

I agree that the response was kinda nasty and uncalled for. I dont think anyone should talk to anyone else that way, but dont take it personal...or Maybe FM the people...see whats up with the response? To me, I always think there must be a reason behind it? And Im not seeing it.

I'm sorry if anyone was nasty to you. If it makes you feel any better, I didn't see the original post, but I have a feeling I'd agree with you. It would take a lot of proof for me to just agree to a c-section. Personally, I think that whole pelvis excuse may be overused. But then again this is coming from someone who gets really cranky about the c-section rates & is very pro natural birth.
