I am having sooo much fun with my new camera! (wanna see?)
Even though I'm only 1/5 of the way through the instruction book - it's overwhelming how different this camera is than my D80...but I was finally brave enough yesterday to pick it up and snap a few...wanna see??

I got the D700.
I had the D80 before, but I have been shooting a lot of small weddings so I wanted a camera with a higher ISO so I don't have to use the flash as much. Plus I needed to have 2 cameras so my D80 is now my backup  (my DH surprised me with the camera - I wasn't planning on getting it for a looooong time!)
The D700 is soooo different, I really need to take some time to get used to it. These pics were taken with a 50mm.
My zoom lens doesn't work with the D700 so I am going to buy some new lenses now. I have my eye on one that I reeeeeallly want but it's  so maybe after I shoot a few more weddings I will splurge.

Jen - these are outrageous although I'm not shocked. Love the street shot - very cool playing with the shutter speed!!!!! And Talia - good lord she is just too gorgeous!
You're talented whether you use your 700 or 80 my dear 
Now if I could understand the flash I got we'd be set I didn't even use it today - too afraid of screwing up the shots
