I did like everyone said...put enough liquid to cover but it's too much liquid.

I think it's b/c the pot was too wide. but now I have a corned beef, cabage, potato, and carrot SOUP. Chat Icon

I made it last night for tonight and I think it's going to taste like CRAP. CRAP CRAP CRAP.

maybe cuz it's not scottish. Chat Icon Chat Icon

should I drain it? I've never made it before. honestly, I've only ever eaten it a few times, made by my irish grandpa. I think I am too watered down at only 25%. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

boooo. what should I do?

Take it out of the liquid.
I have mine in the crockpot but when I always drain it before I slice the corned beef and serve it.

You don't serve it with the liquid, you drain it. It's not like a stew. The liquid is just for braising.

You should be ok. DH prefers the corned beef boiled, not cooked in a crock pot. It comes out oily for us int eh crock pot.

I boil my corned beef for about 3 hours on the stove with a whole onion in the pot, and the meat is completely covered with water.

It will still taste good!!

it should be fine!!
i boil it with beer and enough water to completely cover it. i cook it like that for about 3 hrs and add the veggies the last hour. once you take it out of the water to slice and serve it should be fine!
