I am just so impressed with my Dr...

I switched Dr's from the beginning of my pregnancy b/c the practice that was recommended to me really sucked in my opinion. I got a new recommendation from a girl on the boards here (I am in NJ), and I am just soooooooo glad that I switched over.

I have been having my cervix measured at a maternal fetal medicine place b/c I had a cone biopsy several years ago. Anyway, the MAIN Dr. (owns the practice) has called me three times in two weeks to discuss my results and has spent over half an hour on the phone with me during one of those calls. I am just so happy and impressed with her - it's so unusual that you actually get to speak to the Dr. herself these days!!

So true! It is so rare nowadays to actually get the Dr. on the phone rather than his asst./secretary relaying his or her message. That's one of the reasons I really like my Dr.- he ALWAYS speaks to me directly when I call with any questions or concerns. I actually switched in the beginning of my pregnancy too and everytime I called my old Dr.'s office, she NEVER spoke to me directly. I once mentioned this to my mom and she was appalled, but I was so used to it that I just thought it was the norm.
