I am officially turning into my mother. Either that or I'm just losing it.

Um.....yeah. I am a retard.

Yesterday morning I couldn't find my keys, so I left the house without them and when I got home I looked around for like an hour...couldn't find them anywhere. So, DH got home and was mad at me b/c I lose stuff all the time and he started to help me look...

WELL - he found the keys in the FRONT DOOR!!! I left them in the door for a day and a half!!!! Definitely not the smartest thing, especially since I am so "conscious" of crime and being cautious

(let's not talk about the 2 other times in my life I've done the same key thing)..

and THEN this morning I couldn't find my cell phone anywhere. So I used our house phone and called it....I heard it ringing but couldn't nail down where it was...it took me 3 tries and I found it in the kitchen trash can!!!

DUDE. What is going on with me???

I lost my keys once....they were in the ignition!

Luckily my dad was at his gf's house which was 5 mins from the movie theater, so it was not a big deal. But he looked pisssed that he had to come out in the rain. He opened the door via remote from his car, rolled his eyes and left.

Don't feel bad - I once pulled my car in the driveway and got out and went into FH car to go out. My mom calls my cell phone to tell me that my car is RUNNING!!! - Yes - I got out of the car and left the keys in the ingnition and left it running and left the house! I think I even locked it

aww- don't feel bad... life is crazy busy, stuff like this happens to everybody!
i've had 2 occasions where i locked the keys in my car while it was still running! one time was in HS and the other time i went to an oil change place where you pull up and they come out and drive your car around.... well, i got out, shut the door and it was locked and running! luckily, after my first mishap with this, my dad had wired a spare key up underneath my car so i just got down and got the spare key from under the car
it happens to the best of us... LOL

I was talking to a co-worker in the parking lot at work and I just got out of my car and went inside, keys in ignition, car running. They found my first name in the car (I have a little Nick and Lauren keychain attached to my 4x4 stick shift) and called every Lauren in my company -- there are 2,000 ppl in my location, I have no idea how many are named Lauren. Talk about an embarassing phone call.

Security Guard: Uh, Lauren
me: Yes?
SG: Can you please check to see if you have your car keys?
me: Hang on (a few moments later) OMG! I don't have them.
SG: That's okay, they're in your ignition with the car running.
me: Ummm, thanks
