I am out of places to look for baby furniture
We aren't finding anything we LOVE!!!!!
Bellini Behr's BRU BBB
I want to try to see the furniture in person before we buy. We still believe that we need a crib with drop sides, even after talking to salespeople and other parents. We fell in love with a set that does not have drop sides. We may give in and buy that one (at Behr's). There is nothing with a drop side that would match.

I got one with a drop side at Behr's. You really couldn't find anything?

Re: I am out of places to look for baby furniture
Ikea also has cribs
If you really love the non-drop down sides - it may not be so bad - remember that at the highest level - it is pretty easy to put the baby in. You don't move it down until they are more mobile and then they help you getting out.
The only problem I had is when DS was older and would asleep out of the crib and I would have to lower him in with a preggo belly. After dropping him down a few times and waking him up, I would just bring him into our bed until DH could put him in the crib. LOL
just wanted to put that out there - in case you were really desperate and bought the one you saw.

Did you check out Bonavita's line of furniture ... most of their lines have 'lifestyle' or 'drop down' crib choices ...

Yeah, I have to get there. I live about 40-45 minutes away and I've been anemic and so vey tired. So these places I would normally run to seem like a huge effort. I'm a lazy PG.

Saw some at BBB. I may go again b/c that was the first place I looked and now I know more about what we want.

Well if you don't mind traveling to Queens, you can try Sukon's on Cross Bay Blvd....

Make a fun day out of it and make plans to go to the cheesecake factory or PF Changs. This way you wont be so reluctant to make the drive.

Re: I am out of places to look for baby furniture
Maybe its time to think about getting something other than a "set" since the crib will only be used for 3 years, but the dresser could be used for 20.

I went there, too. Right after Behrs. I have to give BBB another look and get to Fortunoff.

If it helps, we purchased our changer and dresser from JC Penney and our crib from Walmart...they match PERFECTLY! My friend came over the other day and thought we ordered it all from the same place. We didn't see anything in person beforehand, but so far everything is great.
