I am so annoyed! house vent!
OK there was this house we loved it is 2 blocks from our friends and in the SD we wanted. Well a back in Feb we saw it went off the market.....we saw it in the october. well we went and knocked on their door and asked them if they were still interested in selling. We fig we should just check before we sign for the house we are in now. They were very nasty and said no and slammed the door on us!
ok so whatever we sign the contract with the current house we are in now which dont get me wrong i love my house but i would prefer the other house b/c of the school district and the closeness to my friends.
so after we sign the contract with this house the other house went back up for sale!!!!
we couldnt back out of our sale we would lose 15K! 
so it was the other house was purchased and I was just looking at my nassau property.com and the house went for the same amount we paid for the house we are in now
It is so annoying I mean i dont regret my house and we love it...it is just that I cannot see us in this house for our whole lives I really wanna be living where this other house is...
I guess it just wasnt meant to be!
But can u believe we get a door slammed in our faces!!! and the joke is on them b/c we were actually offereing 10K more than what they took
IDIOTS!

It stinks and I am sorry, but you are right "was not meant to be" there is no other way to look at it.

There's a reason for everything. This was not meant to be. You may find out later there was something really wrong with the house.

I agree! Believe me you never know everything about a house until you really get into it and look at everything close up. Maybe this all happened for a reason and it saved you guys from something major!

You totally have a right to be annoyed. Like the OP's said, it just wasn't meant to be.
This happened to us as well. We really liked this one house & made an offer & they barely budged. Two weeks later we came back w/ a bit higher offer & they wouldn't budge. We just found out the house is in foreclosure now....
